How Much Do Braces Cost?
Many people around the world want to have braces, to help their teeth be healthy and not overcrowded, as well as to show off their beautiful smile. Braces are a simple tool which help your teeth straighten out and can even aid with overcoming speech impediments, bad tooth health and self esteem problems.
One thing which deters people from looking into getting braces is the cost. Like most things in life, braces cost money – but with such a wide array of payment options available, it is always worth looking into how you could make braces work for you!
Different Types of Braces
Here at Polished Dental Studio, we offer a range of different brace types to suit anyone’s needs. These vary in cost, too – so let’s take a look at the variety of braces we offer, and their cost. For an exact cost quote, you can book a consultation with us today.
- Clear Ceramic Braces. These are a very popular style of brace due to the fact they are less visible than metal braces. Clear braces offer effective straightening and a subtle look. If you are self-conscious about your teeth and looking for an inconspicuous way to straighten them, clear ceramic braces are for you.
The Cost: on average, ceramic braces costs are on par with metal braces, but vary depending on the length and level of treatment required.
- Metal Braces. Metal braces are traditional braces which are the most popular style. They are simple, no-nonsense braces which are the most cost-effective.
The Cost: Metal braces are often the most affordable option for braces.
- Clear Aligners. These clear aligner braces are the newest type of brace which are surging in popularity. They are designed like mouth guards which help realign your teeth. Clear aligners are practically invisible, and are removable for eating and teeth brushing.
The Cost: Clear Aligner costs vary drastically based on the provider.
How Can I Pay For My Braces?
With our In-House Dental Savings Plan, it has never been easier to pay for your braces. This is a dental insurance plan which covers a range of dental care treatments, not just braces. The plan can cover up to 15% of the cost of your cosmetic dentistry needs, including orthodontic treatments.
In some cases, your health insurance would cover orthodontic treatments. This depends on your insurance plan. If you are under eighteen, you are more likely to be covered by your insurance for braces. Your insurance covering braces also depends on whether your braces are deemed medically necessary. If your teeth are overcrowded, or you have an overbite, underbite or other dental problems related to the alignment of your teeth, our orthodontists will deem your braces medically necessary. This means you are likely to have your braces covered at least partially by your insurance.
